Ever wondered exactly where John Le Carre's George Smiley tussled with an East German spy in "Call for the Dead"? How about the location of the sad little flat where Alec Leamas, "The Spy Who Came in From the Cold," slowly destroyed himself in the name of one final mission?
If so, grab your trench coat because Penguin Random House recently posted online a map of London highlighting a dozen locations in the British capital that are significant to Le Carre's fictional espionage universe, specifically one of his best-known characters, George Smiley.
The map comes as a promotion for Le Carre's latest novel, "A Legacy of Spies," the first in more than 25 years to feature Smiley.
